Start without a selfie or subscription

Open Lab, choose an experiment, review its actions, and start. Templates, the notebook, Daily routines, and streaks are free. Use the daily check-in to record completed actions, a 1–5 experience rating, and an optional note. When you finish, choose Keep, Adjust, or Stop. A keeper can become a Daily routine with Add to Daily.

Build a plan with AI

AI coaching and plan proposals require GlowUp Pro and AI permission. Ask Coach for one small change to try. If it offers an experiment, review the actions and success criterion, then tap Add to Lab to save it. Nothing is added without your approval. Choose a saved experiment in Coach’s plan picker to discuss its actual check-ins.

The camera preview is black

Check iPhone Settings → Apps → GlowUp → Camera and allow access. Close and reopen the camera screen. If it stays black, try the iPhone Camera app to check that the camera itself works, then restart GlowUp. You can use the photo-library button beside the selfie button while we investigate. Please include your GlowUp build number when reporting this problem.

Find the latest TestFlight build

Open TestFlight, select GlowUp Lab, and tap Update if available. If the app is missing or says Tester Removed, email us with the address that received your invitation. Do not send your Apple Account password. An invitation must be accepted before a beta appears in your list.

Photo analysis is not working

Try a clear, front-facing portrait with one visible face, even lighting, and no heavy filter. Confirm that you have an internet connection and that AI processing is allowed in Settings → Privacy & Data. If the service is temporarily unavailable, wait a few minutes and try again.

GlowUp returned an earlier result

GlowUp keeps up to 20 analysis results on your device and uses a one-way photo fingerprint to recognize a photo you already scanned. This avoids an unnecessary AI request and returns the same result. To clear these cached results, use Delete all local GlowUp data in Settings.

Change or remove a photo

Open Selfie using the separate camera button in the bottom navigation. Use the camera or photo-library button to replace the selected image. Your current selfie photo remains in app memory while GlowUp is running. Optional experiment baseline and checkpoint photos stay on your device.

Widgets are not updating

Open GlowUp and complete or update a daily item, then return to the Home Screen. If the widget still looks stale, remove it and add the GlowUp widget again. Widget summaries are stored locally on your device.

Manage or cancel GlowUp Pro

Open GlowUp Settings and tap GlowUp Pro → Manage, or open your Apple subscription settings. Deleting the app or its local data does not cancel a subscription.

Restore a purchase

Open a GlowUp Pro paywall and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account that purchased the subscription.

Billing and refunds

Apple handles App Store billing and refunds. Visit Apple billing support for purchase history, billing questions, or a refund request.

Delete your GlowUp data

Open Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete all local GlowUp data. This removes cached analyses, experiment photos, check-ins, routines, preferences, widget data, the current scan, coach messages, and AI permission from this device. Uninstalling the app also removes locally stored app data, but does not cancel GlowUp Pro.

AI permission

GlowUp asks before the first AI request. You can withdraw that permission later from Settings → Privacy & Data. Non-AI features remain available when permission is declined.

Coach receives your question and up to six recent messages, including AI proposals. If you select a plan, it also receives the plan, actions, progress, last seven observations, and recorded decision and reflection. Available selfie analysis contributes its approximate score and priorities, not the photo. Experiment photos are not sent in chat. Selecting no plan excludes notebook context from new requests, but recent chat context remains. See the Privacy Policy for storage and service-provider details.
